There is a phrase that goes “You are what you eat” How true. The skin is said to be the largest organ in the body.
Hence it has to be adequately nourished, beginning with a basic smoothie recipe without yoghurt.
A healthy skin is a healthy life and this simplifies makeup application.
Personally, after learning its benefits I started smoothing last year… (though not consistently).
I have a lot to learn about smoothing but would love to share some basic tips/recipes I have used. Let’s carry on;

It would be best if you incorporated a smoothie habit which is a must in a healthy diet because this aids in building HEALTHY skin.
One of the fun ways of gifting your skin with nutrients is by taking fruits and vegetables blended known as smoothies. It is advisable, to begin with an easy smoothie recipe.
The exciting thing about doing these smoothies is it isn’t costly and its a basic smoothie recipe without yoghurt. You can start smoothing with items for 500frs
Here are 4 Effective, and Affordable smoothie Recipes
- Carrot Smoothie
Carrots are rich in vitamin E and are known for their brightening effects. Cut the carrot into bits for easy blending to make it into a smoothie.
Starting up with a carrot smoothie recipe is a great plus for your skin. Adding a little bit of ginger to this smoothie punches it.
This is an easy healthy smoothie recipe because carrots are widely available. For those in Limbe (Cameroon), it can be bought in old or new markets. You can begin with carrots for 500frs. This is a simple smoothie recipe no yoghurt.
2) Also, Cucumber smoothie is another great option because they contain a high content of water which is very good in making the skin hydrated.
Sincerely I can’t eat cucumber (whole) so smoothing it, is preferable for me.
You could combine cucumber with carrot or even apples to make drinking pleasant. Also, a little ginger can be added to this recipe. This makes it an easy smoothie recipe with just 3 ingredients (cucumber+ carrot+ apple).
3) Another smoothie Recipe consists of Apples, which are rich in fiber, and vitamins and have detoxifying effects.
You could do a smoothie with apples or combine apples and cucumber or carrots depending on your preference and add ginger for the edge.

4) The following recipe consists of a mixture of carrot, cucumber, apple, grapes, and ginger. Combining all of this is a marvel.
I recently began adding grapefruit to my smoothie and I love its flavour.
I researched and learned that grapes are a good source of potassium, which helps balance fluids in our bodies.
you can use either a blender or smoothie machine for your fruits and vegetables
Put them in the fridge after blending since it’s best drank cold.
The essence of sharing this post is to encourage those not practicing this, to view the various recipes. Then start using any of the recipes consistently, learn more, and imbibe/implement this in your diet.
Also, you can readily use the smoothie ingredients you have at home, this makes it easy since its a basic smoothie recipe without yoghurt.
Consequently, smoothing requires effort and a little bit of financial sacrifice…. which I learned, but it’s worth it.
Remember this is a healthy way of nourishing your skin, living your best life with the little efforts you do daily.
